Nicole Boettler is a photographer and artist.
Photography has always been a tool to her rather than an end in itself. As a deep and complex feeler she uses the frame to explore issues relating to identity as a way to understand and communicate what it means to feel as she does.
Born in 1980 in the former DDR, she immigrated with her family to West Germany in 1989, before the Fall of the Berlin Wall. After 15 years in Karlsruhe she moved to a small village near Stuttgart in the south of Germany, where she is now living with her partner and their three children.
